a continuous basis must under the Commercial Code, establish a
branch.
- Establishment of a branch takes between 1 to 3 weeks
- No separate legal identity from foreign company
- At least on representative in Japan is required (must be resident)

- It is a requirement that all Japanese companies have a registered
office in Japan (POA)
- A minimum of three directors of which one must be resident in
Japan (representative director)
- A minimum of one shareholder is required
- Minimum paid up share capital is 10,000,000 Yen
- There is no requirement for a Company secretary to be appointed.
